After securing the renewal of its Florida headquarters — in what was South Florida’s largest office lease of 2022 — UKG has made now a move to expand its footprint by an additional 14,000 square feet of office space in Weston, Fla. This brings the software company’s total in the Weston Pointe office campus to 154,671 square feet.
Talks were held by Cushman & Wakefield’s Deanna Lobinsky and Chase Kulp on behalf of the landlord, while John Boyle, Tony Jones and Mary Burnieika brokered the deal on behalf of the tenant. Following this latest development, the four-building complex located at 2250 N. Commerce Parkway is 97% leased.
“At nearly 155,000 square feet, this market-making transaction is the largest office lease renewal completed in Broward County since 2019,” said Lobinsky, an executive director at Cushman & Wakefield.
The four office properties that make up Weston Pointe were built between 1999 and 2005. The current owner, New York Life Real Estate Investors, paid roughly $115 million for the 24-acre office campus in January 2016.
UKG is a global leader of human capital management technology with a workforce of 15,000 employees around the world. The company is the successor of Ultimate Software Group — which was founded in 1990 — as well as Kronos Incorporated, a workforce management tech provider that was first established in 1977. The two companies merged in 2020, with the resulting UKG inheriting two separate headquarters — one in Lowell, Mass., and the other in Weston, Fla.
